Q&A

Booking  a shooting package

Q1: What is online confirmation?

A1: As our schedule is quite packed, especially during the wedding peak season, we encourage client to see our samples in our blog or facebook first, and we offer 20% discount for clients who do the online confirmation.  Online confirmation means clients confirm our shooting package before a face to face meeting, and settle the deposit by bank-in or online transfer. Clients can still make enquiry by phone or email.

Q2: How much deposit should we pay and when should we settle the remaining balance?

A2: 50% deposit will need to be paid to confirm the booking, and the remaining balance will be paid within 7 days after the shooting session.

Q3: Will we have a meeting before the shooting date?

A3: Yes, there will be one face to face meeting to discuss the shooting rundown in detail.

Q4: Can we reschedule the shooting date for pre-wedding?

A4: If it is due to weather reason, you can reschedule the shooting date once you inform us 2 days before the contracted date. If it is due to other personal reason, you will have to inform us 1 months before the contracted date.

Q5: When should we expect to collect the photos and products?

A5: Our production time is 12-16 weeks after the shooting date, if you need to have the product within 12 weeks, there will be an early release fee.

Pre-Wedding

Q1: What should we prepare prior our shooting day?

A1: Please see below of our suggestion:

In general:

  •  Bring along a pair of comfortable trainers, small towel/ handkerchief and most importantly – mosquitoes repellent – for outdoor shooting.
  •  You are most welcome to bring along your own bouquet or any additional memorable items for shooting. Kindly note Billy Onair Photography would NOT be held responsible for any loss/ damage of valuable items.
  •  Keep your gear as light as possible.
  •  For beach shoots or shoots which involves getting wet, please bring along extra items such as flip flops and extra towels.
  •  Don’t drink too much water or alcohol the night before. This would help keep your eyes in good shape.
  •  Don’t overdo your diet regime! Engagement shoots outdoor during the summer could be physically demanding so you should keep yourself healthy with a good spirit.
  •  Treat yourself to a full breakfast to have enough energy for the day. You could consider bringing snacks for recharge during the day.
  •  Please let us know in advance if you are bringing your pets along during the day. Note it is often recommended an extra family member/ friend would be present to look after the pet.

For the Bride:

  •  Wear your well-fitted flattering corset or lingerie (without straps).
  •  Remember to shave arms and legs the night before.
  •  Don’t cut your hair too short if you would like more hairstyles variation!
  •  It is often recommended not to wash your hair immediately before hair styling.
  •  If the shooting venue involves getting the rental gown wet, such as shooting at the beach, we would recommend that the gown rental company should be advised in advance.
  •  If you’re pregnant, please let our crew know so we could accommodate accordingly.

For the Groom:

  •  General grooming – look smart with a new haircut and trim your beard.
  •  Remember white socks to go with your white suit.
  •  If you’re generally sweaty it may be helpful to bring along an extra top.

Q2: Do you provide any props such as balloons or bouquet?

A2: We have a few bouquet in studio for shooting, but we do not provide props such as balloons for clients as we believe props should be personal and meaningful to different couples, so we suggest client to prepare themselves. However, we do have some suggested partners for some mostly used props and you can ask us for details.

Q3: Do you provide gowns and suits? How many wedding gowns should I prepare?

A3: Our package doesn’t include gowns and suits, but we do have recommended partners for this. We suggest to have one gown for one location, so if you are booking the 6 hours packages, then you can bring 1-2 gowns. We don’t recommend to have too many gowns as you will spends so much time to get change and have less time shooting.

Q4: Will the groom have make up and hair styling too?

A4: Yes we provide simple make up and styling for groom.

Q5: Can we bring our friend/family to help on the shooting day?

A5: We don’t suggest to bring other people on the shooting day as this will often interrupt the shooting process. Our team is experienced and will assist the shooting throughout the day
