It was a joyful and elegant wedding. No grooms playing games so I could shoot more portraits and getting-ready shots for Anthea and Henry. After the tea ceremony we went to high street and Sheung Wan to shoot some portraits for the couples and the groomsmen/bridesmaids. One thing different to many weddings I shot before was that, Henry didn’t know what wedding gown Anthea would be wearing until the ceremony started and Anthea marched in. In Asia we don’t have this tradition, that’s why most brides wear wedding gown for pre-wedding photo shoots. When I shot for foreigners in HK, or other couples in overseas weddings, their tradition is not to let the groom see the bride in wedding gown before the Big Day. I think giving the groom a surprise is a very sweet affair.
